“Moyles is just the perfect size to
retain a harmony, throughout the whole
school and this is important to the
middle transitional years.”
As our Junior pupils move up through the school, they experience an increased level of contact with our senior school subject specialists, ensuring not only a high level of academic challenge but also a smooth transition to our senior school.
No longer the ‘youngsters’ of the school, our Junior School curriculum offers an academic challenge that is engaging and inspiring, full of creativity and opportunity. The increasing contact with subject specialists is a conscious change that is both gradual and flexible, allowing each child to develop to their fullest ability. Yet throughout this journey, they are supported and nurtured by their class teacher and our pastoral team.
It is this safe and happy environment in which they learn, combined with our continuing individualised approach, that ensures all children grow to become confident and independent learners; ready to take their next step into our senior school and beyond.
“Small class sizes mean individualised learning becomes reality rather than just words on a page. At the heart of the school day is a traditional academic curriculum, enriched with numerous opportunities to develop key lifelong skills. Opportunities for outdoor learning are frequent in our woodland and extensive grounds and our Junior School pupils also have the use of our superb sports facilities and benefit from working with our specialist P.E. staff. Creative Arts opportunities exist on a daily basis and children are encouraged with Dance, Music, Art and Singing.”
