Open Morning Dates 2023 – 2024

Taster days 2023 – 2024

Entry Requirements

Year 3-Year 11:

During Taster Days children will be assessed in English and Maths to establish a baseline assessment.  This information will enable us to determine whether we have the resources available, if required, to ensure your child makes good academic progress at Moyles Court School.

Entry into Year 7 and above:

Following a visit to Moyles Court to include an interview with the Headmaster, Taster Days will involve senior school assessments using CEM centre tools plus present school report/reference.  The success criteria we use for entry includes our judgment that each applicant is able to pursue successfully the published schemes of work for Key stage 3 and 4, and make good progress towards level 4 and above at GCSE by age 16.

The purpose of applying an academic assessment filter on entry is to ensure that the child concerned is capable of working at an academic level appropriate to the age and key stage.

Provisional Registration

Moyles Court takes children from age 2 ½ – 16.  Main entry is at Pre-School, Reception and Year 7 but there are entries at other all ages. However, please note that places may be limited at other entry times.

A child’s name is entered on the provisional entry list for a given year upon receipt of a completed application form and payment of a non-returnable registration fee of £50 for Pre-School, £75 for a UK day and boarding pupil. Firm offers are usually made at the end of the Autumn Term preceding the year of entry.

This deposit of £250 (Pre-School), £300  (UK day and Boarding pupil) will only be refunded if the pupil is withdrawn on medical grounds or at the end of his/her studies at Moyles Court, on condition that the agreed full term’s notice has been given.
